Since 2000, David has been the Firm’s Litigation Support Specialist. Before getting into paralegal work David got a PhD in anthropology with a focus on the languages and cultures of southern China and mainland South East Asia, especially Thai, Hmong and related languages. He published a number of technical articles and also co-authored a small book of Hmong language lessons. Currently, he and his wife, Brenda Johns, are collaborating on translations of Hmong myths, folktales and poems.
David has a bachelor’s degree in anthropology from State University of New York at Binghamton, and both a master’s degree and a PhD in anthropology from the University of Michigan.
David and his wife are active in the Firm’s Community Service Team and have participated in painting the playground at Washington Park School and the holiday gift drive for ProKids.
